For a moment there something was happening and it was really fun. Now it's just back to my life, which is very beautiful, but not much is happening, and I'm in pain. Pain means wanting something, but what is it?
Gradually I'm realizing that I was, in fact, over-reacting. OK, that gives me a thought: being part of a really fun team.
Anyway, that up there is a question, and when I ask a question like that my mind responds with thoughts. They tend to be abbreviated, disconnected ... but, they're thoughts.
I can't do anything in the garden for a month, now.
Oh, man, to have cash, actual cash, coming in, daily, $100 bills. I just saw that.
And what a silly thought it is, but it is a thought.
It's also a challenging thought. Well, it is if I try to think how to achieve it. "I am receiving a one hundred dollar bill, a real, new one hundred dollar bill, every day. I receive it at home, or at a coffee house. Someone just approaches me and puts it into my hands."
What a silly thought it is, but what a thought!
Miami. That thought flashed into my mind, a little earlier. It was accompanied by some outlandish details which I won't describe. Is it some kind of resource?
The thought that I want to achieve magical results working with K. Again, it's a silly, strange one. It's even clearly wrong ... except I don't believe a thought can be wrong. If I affirmed it over and over it would be, in fact, real.
A request was made, in effect. I would like something in exchange for fulfilling it, but nothing was offered, it seems to me, or, definitely not what I asked for. That was flatly rejected.
Why would I want to accept that kind of reality?!

the game
t:
It was now the second of January, the day after the girl's annual New Year party, the unusual Saturday so, she was saying, she could, of all things, relax
and what did I want to do, what was I just doing, without asking, without consideration? I wanted to talk with her about business.
We had finished the delicious bagel she had melted with cheese and egg and spinach, and I had said to her "don't wash dishes. Try to wait, and I'll just wash dishes all day and not do anything else, though I won't hurry," which was like issuing a challenge, in a way, but she accepted it, this time, without overt protest.
What was she going to do, while I was puttering? I suppose she had her plans, or she would say she just wanted to do nothing. Actually, while I was being slow to come to breakfast she had already been working in the garden, doing something, it seemed quite energetically, but I hadn't completely noticed.
We had worked into the night, washing the party dishes, in the old sink outside, with its cluttered, gritty counter and the one cold tap, because the kitchen sink had just finally clogged and simply stopped draining, except that it did drain, which was good, even if it was onto the bathroom floor! At least it was dry and clean, and I had the little can and the tub over the taps to remind us, as if it was a crazy house, and the old sink outside had saved us for months in years past, and here it was saving us again, and finally we went to bed, leaving only the glittering galaxy of glasses on the table in the garden.
So now it was truly the new year. And I did want to talk about business. That's my passion. That's so important. It wasn't that I wanted talk all day, or that I was thinking so. I was thinking, I think, that I wanted to state our goals, and verify, just, that we had them clearly in mind, and that we would do this not just this day, but every day, at the beginning and end of each day, really.
But she was angry. She wasn't protesting. She knew I wanted to talk business, talk goals, and she was resigned. "OK," she was saying, "we'll talk some business, and then I'll relax. You know how little time I have for that. Even normally I wouldn't have this Saturday, I would already be at work. This is my one opportunity to do nothing. Who knows when I'll have a day to do nothing again. But, go ahead, what did you want to talk about?"
Me, I want us to state our goals, and agree on them. I wanted her to say "OK, got it. That and that and that are your goals, and I am here to fully support you in them, and these and these and these are my goals, and we are going to achieve these things, we are going to constantly affirm them, we are just relaxing in our clarity, and affirming and reaffirming it, and if there are any questions we are eager to address them, in conversation together, as partners, that being the complete, fantastic, abundantly liberating way. Oh Yeah!"
But this was not, not, not to be. She would talk, but she was angry and disgusted, and she was going to hatefully abjure every word I was going to say. She was going to violently and instantly question every word I was going to say, every one of my statements and assertion. "No!" she was going to say, "You can't just say that. What about this, what about that." She was going to do that, and she did it, and did it more, and did it more again.
And I, for my part, was not going to stop, not for anything. I was going to continue. And I was going to debater her, as vigorously as she was debating me, debate her objections, one by one, carefully and completely and with utter conviction. And I was going to do this with complete respect. To do it with other than complete respect would be to stop, to not value what she was giving me. Oh, how she was giving it to me, the chance, the opportunity, to voice my dream, and voice it forcefully, and re-voice it over and over, starting again and again from the beginning, adjusting to her thrusts each for each, dodging, turning, strongly parrying, carefully considering her points, in no way rejecting them, not until I could completely turn them, reset, re-begin, battle again.
And so we proceeded. Because she would not stop, I could not stop. I could not. She would not. And now she was saying "It has been an hour, two, no three hours. My precious free day is slipping away, in this Hell. What is the good of just talking? Why do you want to talk to me? You say I don't know, that I'm not right? Then why talk to me?" And I was saying "It's the battle, it's the talking. That's what's going to move us forward, into infinity, not into some limited life, but into a life of freedom and extreme and complete fun." And she was saying "You can't say that. It has to be practical. I am interested in this. What about that?" And I was saying "Oh, yes, I am interested in that, it's so interesting to hear you talking about that, but I am also wary. I am absolutely interested in being involved in that, with you, but not if it's going to get us into massive trouble. It doesn't have to. The solution is to talk. I know you believe that is the way, massive trouble, difficulty, toiling, profound responsibilities, constant problems, and I do and I don't agree. I say it's the dreaming that gets it done. I say we must dream to completeness, without any doubt left, dreaming to absolutely no limit, to the limit of completion, and then we can relax into a beautiful luxury, all without doing even anything, without doing anything but that."
We played and played, a grinding, endless game, each player determined not to loose even a single piece, and at the same time to press the attack relentlessly, with unmitigated enmity, with the one utter determination to crush the other into oblivion. Press, fall back, maintain the stalemate, refuse to loose, to even be touched. But I was saying "we will win, we will." And she was saying "How can you say that?"
The door bell rang. Now that was a strange thing. Who could it be? No one ever rings the bell. Could it be one of the neighbors? They all either hate me or accept, with measure contempt, that I will never say hello, or even look in their direction, though I will put on a quiet smile if I happen to pass them, still, without looking at them or acknowledging them. If they are coming down the street, I will quickly slink back into my garden, pretending to have something to carry in, or to attend to, and to not have noticed them. I only worry that my overgrown garden, such as you would see in a movie, before a haunted house, before the house of an old woman without a friend, will scare people, walking by. I tend it, but I refuse to move it away from its state of nature, so it has taken on its own life, and now it has overwhelmed me. Though it is true I had raked the leaves, and then Kiyomi had picked them up, and put them in the garden.
Could it be Jerry? He hates me more completely than any of them, and in the past has rung my bell, he's the only one, to threaten me, to probe for a weakness, which, if he found it, he would exploit with a bolt, not kidding. But he hasn't been over for years. It's just that, otherwise, who could be ringing? All our friends just knock.
As I get up, I can see, through the cobwebs and the half closed blind, what appears to be a red flannel shirt, which is what Jerry wears. It wasn't a probable thing, that it would be him. I didn't think that. It must be just some passer by. But, where it is my practice, following Abby's advice, to open the door wide and promptly, when someone rings or knocks, no matter who it might be, this time I did peek, just a little, just to know.
A long slender fellow, almost as tall as our trees, easy in his pose, looking ever so polite, and charming, his Nordic face as narrow as a sheet of paper, framed in curly golden locks, sneakers and narrow jeans, a big fine red pullover sweater with the arms hanging easily down to his fingers. He wore a slightly hesitant expression.
Kiyomi had been saying How can I expect anyone to talk to me. If I want people in business to talk to me, I should clean up, I should behave more confident. But it was interesting that when thus directly challenged I had felt, that, you know, really I'm not that bad. I'm being funny, and I think people do get it. Before me was a pleasant exception to what might have been, so I jumped back and flung the door wide, and gave the guy a smile of welcome.
His name was Dane, and he is an impresario, producing shows all over town, and he was just wondering - he hoped he wasn't intruding - if he could shoot some scenes for a music video in my garden, because he really liked it, from the front, as he explained, pointing out its virtues, just as, in fact, I do see them. At this point, I was just laughing.
Check mate. My game. I don't mean to be so rude, and I had had some doubt, or, in fact, even not, it was just that now my strategy was really being tested. But to win like this! Because, I mean, how perfect can something be. This was exactly what I have been wanting, to be in movies, and talk with artist! For my garden and my house to be in movies! Exactly what I wanted.
I said "Dane, come in, let me show you the back." He said, "Oh, please." He came into the house and I told Kiyomi, "Look, here's my business partner!" She said "Don't say that! You just met him! You just latch on to people like that and that's why they run away!" I said "Oh, I'm just kidding, although," turning to Dane, "seriously." But, I was relaxed. I'm way too intense, but what can I do? Nothing for it but to be relaxed, of course. Dane came into the back, looking around him, at the branches hanging down everywhere, dense mats of them, the giant piles of trash, and expressed delight. He was saying that he wanted to visit often and talk with me about my philosophy - not his own, he actually said mine, which means he's exceptional, a gentleman - of course I'm interested in his. I was astonished. I didn't know what to say. I apologized, because I get so in a muddle. We made a plan. He'll come over with a friend for lunch, bring a bottle of wine. I wasn't clear in my words, what a pleasure that would be. I was too worried about the state of the place, though I promised him I would not change it, until after his shoot, at the end of the month. He has amazing connections. He has a friend with Vice, of all the wonders! Well, I'm anxiously awaiting his next visit. This really is too good to be true, but then, Dane seems quite serious. I just have to have faith, now. Whatever is happening, it's definitely something.
Kiyomi won, too. All the way, and so deservingly. While Dane and I talked in the back, I could hear her getting in the car and leaving, and without saying goodbye. She had won a small new liberty. She was going to Cathy's party. She hadn't been sure she would go. She returned later, not late, and she was still angry, but she also apologized.

When some annoying video starts to make a racket and you have no idea where it is (in your many open tabs), what's an actually good way to find out (and maybe do something about it)?

What is an operating system for? Is it for running a computer? But what is a computer for? Doesn't that affect what an operating system is for, and how it should function? And is it something we can't define? I propose defining it as a concentration of space. It is a great luxury to have a lot of space to call your own, but ordinary space is in limited supply, or, to the extent that it is abundant, abundantly accessing it is impossible. A computer can create a lot of space, and give the user access to that space, within the confines of its own very compact physical presence. I propose that, if we define the use for a computer in that way, and build an operating system around that definition of the use of a computer, the result will be a vastly superior operating system.

intersection
2 points define a line. 3 points not on a line define a plane.
in the case of two points x1,y1,z1 and x2,y2,z2, if x1 != x2 the relationship between x and y that defines the line through the two points is y = m[xy]x + b where m[xy] = (y1 - y2) / (x1 - x2) and b[xy] is derived as follows: b[xy] is the value of y where x = 0, so m[xy] = (y1 - b[xy]) / (x1 - 0), m[xy](x1) = y1 - b[xy], m[xy](x1) + b[xy] = y1, and b[xy] = y1 - m[xy]x1. similarly, where z1 != z2 the relationship between z and y that defines the line is y = m[zy]z + b[zy] and m[zy] = (y1-y2) / (z1 - z2) and b[zy] = y1 - m[zy]z1.
My purpose is to derive the point of intersection of a line and a plane. I therefore require the formula for a plane, which I will attempt to derive from the three points x[a],y[a],z[a], x[b],y[b],z[b], and x[c],y[c],z[c].
First there are three special cases. If x[a] = x[b] = x[c] = n the formula for the plane is x = n. If y[a] = y[b] = y[c] = n the formula for the plane is y = n. And if z[a] = z[b] = z[c] = n the formula for the plane is z = n.
Second, there are three other special cases. Where m[xyab] = (y[a] - y[b]) / (x[a] - x[b]) and m[xybc] and m[xyac] are similarly derived, if m[xyab] = m[xybc] = m[xyac] = n the formula for the plane is y = nx + b where be is derived from n and any of the three points's x and y values. Similarly if m[zyab] = m[zybc] = m[zyac] = n the formula for the plane is y = nz + b and if m[xzab] = m[xzbc] = m[xzac] = n the formula for the plane is z = nx + b.
Then, outside of these six special cases, the general case is such that, first, the plane will intersect the y axis at a certain point, then, starting from that point, which will have the coordinates 0,0,b, and for all other values of x,z, there will be a unique value of y which is on the plane. At a guess, the formula for such a plane will be y = m[xy]x + m[zy]z + b[p].
We now have, given the general case line and the general case plane, y = m[xy]x + b[xy] and z = m[xz]x + b[xz] and y = m[xyp]x + m[zyp]z + b[p]. Let's see where it takes us. We are looking for a point which satisfies all three equations. We can presumably begin by asserting that m[xy]x + b[xy] = m[xyp]x + m[zyp]z + b[p]. And z makes an appearance, so m[xy]x + b[xy] = m[xyp]x + m[zyp](m[xz]x + b[xz]) + b[p]. It at least looks possible we can now solve for x.

How can I get actual cash - US dollar 1s, 5s, 10s, 20s, 50s, and 100s - TODAY?
Nothing fishy, either.

The word design, completely by itself, denotes a field of endeavor, a profession or activity. The design practitioner executes a design process. This process originates in some manifestation of what is called purpose, proceeds from there as imagination, in which forms which respond to purpose are conceptualized, and thence to a stage termed visualization, or rendering, or modeling, and finally concludes in construction or production. The last stage is not part of the design process, rather, the design process is part of it.
Computers are, in contemporary ideation, machines which compute. However, the term originates in a time before the existence of such machines, when it referred to a person who computes. Computation is the manipulation of numbers.
In the field of Computer Aided Design, the manipulation of numbers, computation, plays some role in the design process. Whether that role is limited to one sort of function or another I cannot say, but at least as an example of it the following is apparent and prominent: numbers which define an object in three dimensions are used to map that geometry onto another object which is also defined using numbers.
This kind of mapping function is our concern here.

meditation
Despite being a bit skeptical, I tried Walpola Rahula's advice this morning (and last night) and spent about ten minutes focusing my attention on my breath, which, if I understand correctly, is a form of meditation. This is from chapter seven, where, somewhat to my amazement, Rahula defines meditation, to start with.
Also, he defines its purpose, which is developing a healthy mind. I figure what this means is, if your mind is healthy, it will create for you a happy, peaceful, secure, abundant life for you.
So apparently the Buddha taught that this exercise, together with several others, will heal the mind.
I happen to have some Japanese incense, which is the type without a wooden core, so I broke a stick in two - I didn't feel up to doing a whole stick - and lit it to time my meditation. I sat cross legged, which I happen to be decent at, this morning, and in a chair last night, upright and relaxed, and focused my attention as best I could on my breath.
Lovely thoughts drifted through my consciousness. That's supposed to be a problem you deal with in meditation, but I didn't worry about it ... I just enjoyed them. Still, there was this possibility of returning my attention to my breath, which was interesting, that it was there. The smoke, as if having its own mind, wafted straight towards me, giving me great pleasure.
I could feel, not my breath, so distinctly, not so much my lung expanding and contracting, but the pressure they brought to bear on, I guess, my diaphragm. After a while I could feel my kidneys being squeezed, and I imagined that was pressing healthy juices out into my system. I could feel sort of my muscles being stretched in my chest and shoulders. That was my experience.
Very strangely, after that, I felt too much urgency around going out to do my errands to stop for another cigarette. It's not in any way that I'm planning to quit - I love smoking - but here I was passing it up, which basically never happens.

working
OK, so, the last two weeks, I've been reading everything I possibly could, Money Magic, Law of Attraction, Management and Leadership ... piled up a bunch of Kindle books. Buddhism. And anything I could find for free on line about How to Make Money. Clicking every ad, watching all the videos.
So, I got a little tired. Nothing was really working. I had a moment of doubt.
But, here's the thing: at the same time as I had that moment of doubt, I had a strange feeling like I was kind of getting in the flow. I think it's working.

I'm setting a goal.
I've been spinning my wheels, trying to do too many things at once, not getting enough of them done.
My goal is to set up a ClickBank account.
My goal is to do it tonight.

cool data plan
reviews on Amazon ... some people have issues - with coverage, some aspects of the plan (sharing)
some love it, though
So many options! I've lost track of the second one, and I'll get to the third one soon, but now I see this at ... is this real ... quite a great price:
note:
reviews look promising, I say, even though people are complaining about customer service and the setup process ... but the first review I saw said customer service was good, though setup was apparently not so easy (and there was one problem they couldn't solve).
helpful hint: they took it to the T-mobile store for help with setting it up. Smart!
this looks interesting

Ok, so I'm working my way through all of that and click on an ad for SAP Hana. Are you ready for the big time? Turns out Bigpoint Games uses it to target player interests, or something. Just what they said, but I looked up Bigpoint Games. (I linked you to one that isn't bloody.)

tabs
Very simply, I'm closing some tabs.
Here's a way to get free Kindle books - marked down books:
http://www.weberbooks.com/kindle/
Such a necessity, I'm not even closing it. (There are lots of words spellcheckers don't know!)
https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Wiktionary:Main_Page
https://sumome.com/app/list-builder
https://help.sumome.com/
An alternative (one among who knows how many) for list building:
https://www.campaignmonitor.com/pricing/
for whatever reason I liked the name ... it was on a list of list builders at Sumo Me
I got the idea search (Google ... Google wins) on the term "How to get the most out of forums." Sort of the tenth listing was:
http://www.straighterline.com/blog/how-to-get-the-most-out-of-online-degree-program-bulletin-boards-and-forums/
which looks pretty interesting as a resource about on line education.
Now how the heck am I gonna make use of all of this?
If I would wish for this blog to have an effect on the reader it would be empowerment. The why am I linking to a page that could be construed as an incitement to despair? That would perhaps be a mischaracterization, but not an easy one to avoid. Well, to wrestle with a fearsome opponent could qualify. It at any rate offers much to explore. I like the Kierkegaard quotation. Could his work qualify as the kind of thing that would be empowering to read aloud?

It occurred to me to look up
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Empowerment
It was not quite what I was looking for. As usual, of course, it provide much to consider. What I was thinking about was "how can the reader (and myself) maximize our well being."
Ach!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Well-being
In my opinion it all comes down to something like fine cookware - and that doesn't need to be ridiculously expensive, just fine. Even more fundamentally, it's taking advantage of resources. They can be right there in front of you, but if you don't use them, so what? That's why I'm trying to promote reading so ardently. It may not look like something that could really help, but it definitely isn't if you don't read it.

Boy do I like working/playing on the computer.
Sure, it's kind of stupid that I'm staying at home doing this
but
for one thing
My theory is, do what you love.
and what a heap of trouble I've landed in doing what certain people were telling me, which was don't do what you love (because they thought it was stupid)
I say, if there's something you love to do, do it.
Do it, do it, do it, do it, do it, do it, do it, do it, do it, do it, do it, do it, do it, do it, do it!
The one other thing is, if I could only make some money, in fact, a lot of money, doing just this.
Is that another ridiculous idea?
I'm spending quite a bit of time doing this, and still have essentially no money. But no, I don't think it's a ridiculous idea. Are you telling me no one makes money working on a computer - even from home doing their own thing? Sure doesn't look that way to me. Or are you telling me you can't do anything really useful to people, sitting at home, working on a computer? Are you telling me it's all just a scam? Really, why should I listen to you. I'm getting, at least, a lot of enjoyment from what other people are doing, from home even, working on computers. I even feel I'm learning the trade ... getting insights into it. I'll listen to myself, thank you ... very much!

rain
Well that sucks. Now there's an image of an evil looking soldier on my blog.
Quite the out of control morning.
Like an idiot I've got the door wide open - so I can smoke - while I blog - and I'm freezing my ass off.
What the fuck! It's raining again! Well, at least that. Nice.
Yuki in Prescott, then.
That soldier is a SumoMe ad. At least I got SumoMe set up, here, on the blog. I got SumoMe Discover set up, and it's apparently getting me traffic. (I got Google Analytics set up too, and it's telling me my bounce rate is 100%. That's terrible! But I'm reformulating. Who knows.) Huh, ABEO gapped up this morning (meaning, minutes ago). Maybe I will make some money. Anyway, getting SumoMe and Discover set up wasn't too hard. I mean, it took everything I had, but I don't have that much. And it's a really clean process. Really elegant. Hey, SumoMe doesn't have an affiliate program. I'm sending you there out of the goodness of my heart. Oh, and I just discovered SumoMe is by AppSumo. Those guys are quite incredible. I mean, they're even still at it! Oh, and they don't have an affiliate program.
So, if you've got a blog, you can probably figure out SumoMe and get free traffic.

prosperity
This is still about waking up this morning.
I should wake up, get up, and do intense meditations, draw that prosperity to myself magically.
Can't think.
I should keep the table clear so I can organize stuff. But then I won't be able to blog. Nothing for it, I set up the laptop on the table ... and start blogging.
Still can't say I feel like I'm making money.

groaning
This is still about waking up this morning.
I felt I had to do Hologram Palm Empowerment, Part 1. I didn't want to at all, but if I didn't do at least that, well, how could I claim to be anybody at all. I mean, what does it take, like, 3 minutes? And it's so simple I think I can remember the whole thing.
So I did it. Touching my two fingers to each of my three dantien gates, lighting up the dantien, then letting the fire burn into the core.
Here's the thing: I was groaning. That could be a good sign.
So, that was done, at least.

(12) emotions
I had maybe less trouble getting out the door than I expected, enjoyed the drive to Ikea - it was nice to be driving after almost a week of not doing so - and was happy to be in the store.
I was already practicing Leil's heads up posture. It felt completely weird. Not looking at my feet was weird, and a bit worrisome ... and then I felt like a complete asshole. Um, I suppose that could be a good thing. I'm so used to looking apologetic all the time. On the other hand, I like being nice.
Confidently got my breakfast, which was weird. Not the breakfast. That was great, if a little on the large side. The confidence part felt weird. Very happy to be in my spot by the big window, the sun warming just enough through the heavily shielded glass. The table and chairs with their clean design. All the other customers. Fun. As usual.
Read a bit about Chi Gong. Oh, I have to practice that exercise. Just reading about it, I could feel the Qi powerfully, in my hand, a sweet feeling. Argued with Peng about how to describe that, though, about whether it proves anything. Maybe that's silly. I certainly am satisfied.
Started to need to poop, and left early, even planning to head home ... and resolving to go out again, to go out every day.
Decided to hold on and shop. (Not a chance I was going to use the toilet at the store.) Bought, in the end, lots of stuff. Lots of frames for my everlasting art project - will I ever sell anything? - and some children's art supplies, big markers that stamp a silly little picture, and Ikea's signature glitter gel ink ball points in lots of nice colors. And a vase and a candle holder and four fat candles, to activate the money area. I was pretty happy about that last bit. The bought four hot dogs and three slices of pizza, my dinners for a few days, is the plan, and two cups of coffee, just for pleasure (a guilty pleasure, because of the plastic lined paper cups), and a one pound bag of mixed candies from their amazing "pick and mix" wall. (The last was expensive.)
Payed for all the shopping - not the food, but the other things - with the credit card, which means it's all on Kiyomi. Cringing with embarrassment. I refuse to stop, though. Still walking around with my nose in the air. At some point some guy looked at me almost like he was shocked, like "is this guy important or something." That's the sought after effect ... if I want it. The girl at the food counter was cranky at first, but then really nice. I was being nice. Sometimes that works. Brushed right by this other girl. She had to stop and pivot, or, at least, she did. It's usually me doing that ... and I just ignored her, I mean, not to be rude, but just to not impose. Weird. Really, I'd like to be more polite. But it was efficient, and uncharacteristically not timid of me.
Off to ... the post office, to mail that card - how will it go over? Then to Trader Joe's, and Changing Hands.
For whatever reason, I was feeling increasingly anxious. It's about the money, the lack of it, the fact that I'm doing all this stuff, putting posts and links here, trying to publicize it, and there's dead silence from my Facebook friends, no comments, and no purchases. For days. And I'm doing these posts on stocks. It's scary. What will people think?! Also, will I be able to manage? Like, the list is pretty long, now.
At Changing hands, a lady was looking at the shelves I was interested in, and just seemed not even aware I was right behind her. That was fun. The psychology books looked fascinating. Resolved to create a section of them here. Then the checkout guy was friendly at first, but seemed, in the end, horrified, by my nose being in the air. Kept my head high driving home. I think it did make me more respectable. I wondered if it was safe, though.
And, finally, someone was parked in my spot. What a life. Tried to think how I was going to deal with that.
Oh, and first thing in the morning, first, I ran a bath, and then I recited the entire King of Prayers, now for the second time. I really like it. Will it turn my life powerfully in a new directions. Didn't feel that much effect, but it is a beautiful prayer. Then, took my bath, which was lovely. I still felt a little stinky, heading out. Can a prayer make me sweet smelling (if recited regularly).
So, I should go back to yesterday, when, working on the whole Web tangle, I started feeling scared, and, also, in my reading, prayer beads were mentioned - someone was using them as a Whatzit, to attract attention at parties - and so, looked for information about how to use them. Didn't find that, but found the King of Prayers, and quickly got my copy, and recited it right there on the spot. I've been doing these YouTube meditations, but that's such a weird scene, even though it's great ... and it's so passive ... so I got the idea to recite a Buddhist prayer. I like it.

I like it.

Being able to do buy all my necessities in 100% biodegradable / reusable / recyclable packaging and made from similarly qualified materials. Occasionally, non-disposable items are exempted.
In the mean time I know can deliver all my plastic packaging (especially bags, wrap, i.e. all film, plus foam items, plus all plastic fiber materials) to an appropriate collection facility and know assuredly it is being recycled or otherwise properly disposed of.
I can buy coffee (and ice cream) in cups that are not plastic lined.
I know assuredly that all my disposed of packaging is being properly handled, which probably means it is being burned and the ashes are incorporated into compost and used to fertilize gardens and farm fields and/or dispersed widely across wilderness.
I never have to touch or see heat print receipts, either because receipts are back to being just paper (carbon paper is fine, in all its forms), or because they are virtual.

dreaming
I want to help people achieve whatever they want in only one hour.
acquiring a new home
(you don't have to give up your old one
why should you have just one?)
finding a mate
or an actually fine friend
(hint: it would help if you are actually a fine person yourself)
(how can I be an actually fine person?)
making (and actually receiving) some money
you might have to start small
but always dream big
If I just got an email, just show me the email. Pop it up on my screen.
make magic with your computer
Now what do I do?
how to talk to anyone
I want to make money fast, from home, trading stocks.
Learn to read every word in a whole book in a single hour. Beginning Part 2, 9:45am. For the last ... 20 minutes ... I have been reading out loud, as fast as I can go. Gosh it's fun. I'd say, though, I'm only a quarter or a third of the way to my goal. I am glad I'm showing you the book. It's good. .........................It's 2:30 and I just finished Part 2 (23 out of 92 hints ... but, I got a lot of reading done).
what a findit's not good, it's great
i have these ads on the page now. you can read about it (if you can stand it) in the "everything" post. i don't know how much good they're doing me, but i love them. anyway, previewing/reveling in my work, i clicked one. i got a page of bargain Kindle books, and bought several ... including this must-have sleeper. be tacky! that's my motto ... and it tends to handsomely reward a person!

sucks
This post sucks. I'm going to try again. Distinctive pattern; jump.
The green bar down in the middle of November was certainly distinctive, especially in the context of a shelf to its left (and at the foot of the cascade to lower prices from mid August through September), and even more so when a red point formed to its right. Now the jump looks like an image of it in a mirror.
The labels distinctive pattern and jump apply, and this is also a question. Doesn't the spike to $4.50 predict a future return to that price? What would happen if I tried to buy it, now, at $2, the real body high? I can answer that right now: I'd be worried. It doesn't justify a large order, but it could justify a small one. Will it return to $1 and then rally, or something like that ... and take it's time doing it ... or will it rally again immediately?
Let's look at the points in this chart. Early July, and again in early August, and these would have looked like components of a forming bottom, then. Points come with a warning. Another on the first of September, and one near mid September

(in charting) Questions
Questions, in charting, are a way of approaching the recording of observations. Observations are of two types: hypothetical, and predictive.
In the first part, we form an hypothesis based on a pattern in the history. We might say, studying a chart, "there was a head and shoulders pattern following on a decline, and then prices rallied half way to the earlier high price." This suggests the (simplified) hypothesis to test.
In the case of predictive observations, we are saying a slightly different thing. "It's a head and shoulders pattern following a decline ... I think it will rally to half way to the earlier top."
We can now present this as a question. It seems to offer our minds more flexibility. We can ask questions like "Isn't this going to rally now? What will it do when it reaches the level of the this earlier top? Turn back, or go right through it. If I order it at today's high, will the order be filled?" Stuff like that.
It's an abstract idea, but now I can label posts "questions" and know those posts pose questions that have not yet been answered, and, when the questions have been answered, I can relabel the posts "answers" and know that those posts answer questions. We'll see how it goes.

points
Points are multi-bar patterns in bar charts (or they can be seen in line charts, formed by sequences of tops and bottoms) that taper from left to right. Usually they are horizontal, like an arrowhead pointing to the right. At least, the horizontal ones are easy to spot. Points can also point down, or up ... and, I suppose, they often do, it's just that it's a little harder to see them then ... maybe.
I believe points can be expected to conclude in actual sharp tips, meaning that the last bar, at a certain point (the pun is inescapable ... and perhaps meaningful, inasmuch as it points to - sorry - the relationship between chart patterns and moments in time), is a very short one ... and centered in the point pattern. (The latter observation is somewhat arbitrary. Very short bars could be viewed as being possibly significant. It is just that a very short bar centered in a point pattern does put a sharp tip on the pattern.)
It seems to be true that points are often followed by sharp moves, short term price change. They also seem to be associated with the initiation of more durable price change trend, but not in as definite a way as might be supposed. It's one of those situations where we will probably want to study as many examples as we possibly can, in as disciplined a way as we possibly can.

it might interest the reader to note that this post is built from the bottom ... up
This is starting to worry me. I'm making things complicated for myself. I think I might try doing some normal posts.
The problem with a book that asks you to stop and do a long exercise is, you have to stop. It interrupted my reading. I noted early that I'm suggestible. I want to finish the book, but the author is saying then I won't get the benefit.
Also, the exercise was writing down fifty goals. I wrote them down on fifty small cards. Now I have this stack of cards that I don't entirely want to deal with.
Once I got the fifty goals written down, I did peek at the next paragraph. I am supposed to sort them by time of delivery. Goals I want to achieve in a year, in two years, etcetera. (Blogger doesn't recognize the word etcetera. How weird. It is a word.)
This is becoming a major theme for me. I want to read a lot of books, but I don't want a lot of books cluttering up my life. Solution: Kindle. I want to create a vast number of annotated stock charts, but I don't want ... well, let's say I put them in a notebook ... sorting them is the basic problem ... solution: Blogger. And now, I want to sort a lot of written goals. Solution, again, Blogger.
I'll have to play around with this. It's not entirely a new idea for me, but it's going to a new level with me now, so I feel a little uncertain. With that said ... only a little ... or even ... not.
Sitting here freezing my ass off. See earlier (that is, below) post. I put on a light jacket ... and a scarf ... to walk to my house, last night ... but it wasn't really bundling up ... and I'm walking all hunched over ... and I'm shivering ... which is an exercise for the gut, like crunches. Maybe I'll get skinny!
OK, I added pants ... and put on a sweater when I went outside ... for a smoke ... and took it off again when I came back in.
So, here I am, up at 6, working (or playing, as it may be). In fact, I was up at 4:30. I just woke up. I was, like, "is this crazy?" But ... no.
Business people are gung ho. Like my friend Jewel. She's completely enthused about her job. Everybody else is complaining, and worried, but she is just taking it to the max. And she'll run right over you if you get in her way. Well, why are you getting in her way? (When she posts on facebook, everybody piles on to comment. They're probably all shallow and vain, but nobody comments on my posts, not ever.)
In self help, it all boils down to what do you want. The funny thing is, it's a tough question. It heads you into the storm: you're not supposed to want that, or that, or that. There's a girl who just said to me "I'll cook and keep house for you ... if you make money." See what I'm saying?
I mean, I woke up feeling anxious. I was wondering what I want. Then I remembered. It's that.
There are disciplines that, let's put it this way, promise to move a person from that state where nothing is going your way to a state where everything is. If I talk about that, it gets pooh pooed. (Blogger does recognize that one.) That shows the kind of person you're hanging out with. I say be enterprising and trade stocks - 90% of people who try it fail - be one of the ten percent - do not fail to try again. Read a business book a week, like the guy says. Business books?! Aren't they boring? Well, do you want to be in business? Or, "that won't work for me." One a week.

I'm miserable. I miss being bundled up. I'm cold. This is a tough one.
Why am I so sensitive? Is it ... a lack of inner warmth? It's interesting.
I was watching a movie, a sweet and very depressing movie called, I think, Grey Gardens, on Hulu, and the protagonists were listening to Dr. Norman Vincent Peale on the radio, and he was saying something like "a person who will be a success keeps cool." Of course he meant mentally, but, it's been cold, and I've been mostly sitting all bundled up, layers and layers of cottons and woolens, and a hat on ... just to be warm. However, as a result, I've ended up smelling like, oh, a dead fish or something. I finally bathed, and I'm planning to go out for a bit, and it drifted through my mind to ... now dress lightly ... even if it would mean being ... cool.
I said a little prayer then, Father, Mother, Angels, make me into someone who is unaffected by ... being cool. Help me be like that. Let me be like that. Let me strive to be like that. Help me as I work to adopt this new discipline.
People might say, about my writing, here, "are you on drugs?" This is the thought in my mind, and the feelings that go with it are loneliness and isolation. Cringing. Binary Utopia spoke of staying up into the night, and, as if suggestible, I did it, and then it seemed reasonable to stay up all night ... and then, when it was still very early in the morning, I remembered that was the time to place an important call, and not get put on hold, and, sure enough, I was able to recover atempenote. The person I spoke with treated me like an idiot, and I felt like an idiot, but I got the thing done. That hypnotist was saying "you know that people like you." He was saying "you are determined to practice." It may be nothing but a YouTube, but it's not off target.
After that call I worked on the morning's stocks, but, after a while, I couldn't focus, not in some vague sense, but literally. So, from about 8 to about 1, I slept.
And, when I woke up, I felt this ... loneliness ... this fear.
The ... very idea of life ... of a life ... felt ... so improbable.
A life based on what? Blogging? On a post? What, even, is a life? Friends. Who needs them? Who doesn't? A life based on YouTube meditations?
I returned to my affirmations. People like me. What a thing to say. I am determined to make progress.
My question was, would I be able, still, to do anything? But, it turns out, there are things to do.

saying goodbye to Firefox, it seems. here in Chrome, everything is instantaneous. i suppose it could be sabotage ... but, i doubt it. pretty much everything was moving slow as mud in the good old dog.
it's a funny world. it seems we don't have corporations for nuthin'.
i have to say, Blogger looked better in F. more crisp. this is like my apple, a little fuzzy. almost more than a little. weird. but it sure is fast.
it does appear to me that Firefox is incredibly slow. i was going to write that i haven't yet tested the hypothesis, but now i had better test it, because what's going on here is unendurable.
pretty much every one of these meditations uses "binaural" "something." if you ask me, it's playing with fire. but, if you know that's what you're doing, i suppose it's OK.

Wow, amazing! I am now hosting gorgeous, stunning ads from SumoMe. In exchange for this I am promised traffic. Traffic! I have just launched ... on the Web.
The process was incredibly beautiful. I have liberated myself, by quickly slipping through yet another forbidden gate, from fly by night operations, from up front fees, and unsubtle funnels (into a deeply artful one). Soon I will have a contact form, it seems, a long held dream, and the opportunity to begin "building a list," which, actually, I want, though warily ... and tracking, and analytics.
I am ... so proud. I had to figure out how to insert a little piece of code. I had the knowledge. I clicked around looking for the thing. I used a little bit of help. I ignored the warning to back up. I relied on my precision, and care. I didn't know at all what was happening. There was a pretty new link on my page. More things were occurring. I was presented with elegant options, and more elegant options. I selected among them. I cruised.
i no longer wish to simply let the sites slip away ... but leaving the tabs open will no longer do ... found ... retained ... treasured ... and now, preserved ... and, with this, it will also be "tried"
Markyess, aka Low Stocks, Stocks for the Low, aka Binary Utopia - this guy is completely amazing - talking about being up into the night - here i am - at 1:11 - working, to make it work. *** The completely amazing Binary Utopia
i posted something on another site that read "drink more water," though, in fact, i don't agree. i am drinking nothing but cup after cup after cup of hot tea, with heavy cream ... as much as i want, of course ... which is a lot ... but not more than that. (under other circumstances i would drink nearly as much beer ... but now i am drinking only tea ... a surprising confirmation of my thinking on addiction ... which is ... do what thou wilt.)
my knuckles are so chapped they have been, at times, bleeding. i have learned that at times the appropriate response to this kind of thing is to pay no mind and not be concerned. sometimes i lightly rub or brush them with my other hand, and that feels nice. i did, the other day, buy two apples, just for a touch of fresh ... they are as red as rose hips (in fact, what they are) ... and earlier tonight i finally cut one up and put the pieces in a dish for desultory consumption. just now i had one slice, thinking "maybe this will help ..." not quite crisp but, intensely flavored.

But, it turns out, there are things to do.

speaking of corporations, for various reasons I need to list these stocks. the overarching reason is so i can easily open the pages in new tabs. then there are the other reasons.

Whoops! These charts DO NOT WORK in Chrome. They work fine in Edge, and they look great in F., but are, there, slooooooooooooow.

saying goodbye to Firefox, it seems. here in Chrome, everything is instantaneous. i suppose it could be sabotage ... but, i doubt it. pretty much everything was moving slow as mud in the good old dog.
it's a funny world. it seems we don't have corporations for nuthin'.
i have to say, Blogger looked better in F. more crisp. this is like my apple, a little fuzzy. almost more than a little. weird. but it sure is fast.
it does appear to me that Firefox is incredibly slow. i was going to write that i haven't yet tested the hypothesis, but now i had better test it, because what's going on here is unendurable.
pretty much every one of these meditations uses "binaural" "something." if you ask me, it's playing with fire. but, if you know that's what you're doing, i suppose it's OK.
boy that's good

(under other circumstances i would drink nearly as much beer ... but now i am drinking only tea ... a surprising confirmation of my thinking on addiction ... which is ... do what thou wilt.)
my knuckles are so chapped they have been, at times, bleeding. i have learned that at times the appropriate response to this kind of thing is to pay no mind and not be concerned. sometimes i lightly rub or brush them with my other hand, and that feels nice. i did, the other day, buy two apples, just for a touch of fresh ... they are as red as rose hips (in fact, what they are) ... and earlier tonight i finally cut one up and put the pieces in a dish for desultory consumption. just now i had one slice, thinking "maybe this will help ..." not quite crisp but, intensely flavored.

oops, that's going to take some time
with that in mind, before I post the next item, I engage my brain, for a change, and locate this, the Hay House Affiliate Program !!!!!!!
as usual it's someone else's affiliate ad ... magically (and rather stupidly) migrated to my page
"With Software, BSA The Software Alliance"
In a very real way this post is for closing tabs.

why do I need it? why would I not set it up? (meaning, why is it an option? why would someone not want it?)
